Center for Transimperial History
“Transimperial history” is an emerging field of research dealing with the histories of modern empires and of resistance thereto as well as the influence of both on the post-imperial world. Center for Transimperial History (CTH) aims to develop this emerging field of study, with Doshisha University as the center for joint research in Japan. CTH also seeks to promote international research collaboration based at Doshisha University and thereby play a central role in developing research on transimperial history.
