Research Center for Drug Development Against Fire Gas Poisoning

In fire accidents, carbon monoxide and other toxic gas poisoning claims many lives each year. Currently, there is no drastic cure for gas poisoning in the medical field. The Research Center aims to develop and clinically use an emergency treatment for gas poisoning that can be used immediately on site. We use “hemoCD” as a water-soluble artificial hemoglobin compound originally developed in Doshisha University.
